The Wisconsin Section web site serves current and future women engineers in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  We welcome notices from those seeking to hire members and would-be members who live in this area.

We can communicate these notices to our members and subscribers in three ways:

  • the job posts web page,
  • our newsletter, distributed every-other month, emailed or mailed to members and subscribers in addition to being posted on-line, and
  • direct email notification (one mailing)

For web postings the typical posting period is one month.

For Silver Level Corporate Supporters:

Supporters at the silver level or those hosting a meeting may make one post to the web site with one email notification free of charge in that fiscal year.

For Gold Level Corporate Supporters:

Supporters at the gold level may have unlimited posts to the website with one email notification per posting as well as advertisements in the newsletter.  Note that this may reduce the charitable deduction claim of the support; please consult a tax preparer.

Gold level Corporate supporters provide a yearly monetary support to Society of Women Engineers – Wisconsin Section, valuing $501 or more.

To further define “unlimited” website job posting status, the preferred format, number of posting allowable at one time, the posting time period, maximum frequency, anticipated turnaround time is detailed below.

The preferred format for the job postings is Microsoft Word format (version 97 or higher).  Other text formats will be considered on an individual basis.

Currently, there is no limit to the number of postings allowed at one release occurrence.  Please understand that if the number of postings exceeds 20 at one given time, the defined anticipated turnaround time (as detailed below) may be longer to accommodate the extra work involved.  These large posting (over 20 positions in one release) requests will be addressed on an individual basis & would be outside the scope of this policy.

The posting will be on the SWE-WI website (www.msn.fullfeed.com/~swewi/jobposts.htm) for a 30-day period.  If the job is not filled in that 30-day period, the supporter can request via email for a 30-day extension.  Please address email to gina.janke-AT-swe.org and swe-wi-AT-swe.org  for the extension.

The maximum frequency for posting releases will be one release every 2 weeks.

The anticipated turnaround time from release to website posting is 3 to 7 business days.  Following the website posting, there will be an e-mail notice to the SWE-WI members and subscribers announcing the new website postings.
