These scholarships primarily are targeted to support diversity in the sciences and engineering:

•  Ron Brown Scholar Program --named for the late Secretary of Commerce, for African-American seniors with leadership potential.
• Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarships --perpetuates the legacy of the late baseball player by providing college scholarships for minority youths.
• United Negro College Fund Merck Science Intitiative --at undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels!
• AT&T Undergradute Research --for women and minorities underrepresented in the sciences
• Bell Laboritories Graduate Research Fellowships --supports graduate work for underrepresented minorities
• Collegiate Inventors Program --open to all
• Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund --named for the late Supreme Court Justice, it supports students at historically black colleges and universities.
• Microsoft Scholarship Program --open to all, includes a summer internship
• Historically Black Colleges and University Scholarships
• League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Scholarship Funds, sponsored by GE and GM --engineering scholarships for minority students
